Bulk erase for re-use

Sprague magnetics offers a quick and easy way to erase the data from your cartridges and increase their compatibility.
An example of this is the DLT IV cartridge, which was been written in a DLT4000 drive. This tape cannot be used in a DLT1/ VS80 drive, nor will it write at DLT7000 and DLT8000 capacity and speed when used in that type of drive. After erasing, the DLT IV tape is usable in all drives, and will write at there respective capacity and speed.

Secure Bulk erase for data removal

Sprague Magnectics offers a secure way of removing your data stored on DLT tapes. This includes onsite and offsite services.

Onsite service gives you the ability to have data removed at your location. Sprague Magnetics will send an engineer with equipment to your premises, and removal is done under customer supervision.

Offsite service gives you the ability to have data removed at Sprague Magnetics. The tapes will have to be send to sprague Magnetics, with or without a representative of your company. Sprague Magnetics will provide a clean tape statement.
