About us

Sprague Europe was founded late 1999 by 2 ex-Digital/Compaq employee’s from the WW Service Logistics Engineering Operation in the Netherlands.

Sprague started by leveraging the Digital developed and qualified capability (1995) for DLT head repair/ re-furb for DLT 2000/4000.

The company is privately held with 100% of shares held by the 2 managing directors.
The 2 managing directors have over 40 yr’s management combined experience in International Service Logistics and Service Engineering in the IT Industry.

  • Nov 2009 A bigger facility close to our old location (11.000 square meters)

  • Aug 2009 Repair contract with DELL

  • Apr 2009 SME co-founded the TSC to be able to provide a worldwide footprint with our partners

  • Feb 2009 Recertfied against new ISO9001:2008 standard

  • Jan 2009 Fourth OEM repair/service contract with HP

  • July 2008 6 mnth revenue breaks the 2M€/6 mnth or appr. 3M$/6 mnth barrier

  • Jun 2008 InnovaStor sold to it’s managing Director

  • Apr 2008 SME buys-back the 10% shares owned by SMI - New Company Logo designed

  • Jan 2008 Herman Goemans joined as Managing Director

  • Aug 2007 Support agreement established with BDT AG to support Sprague with parts and processes.

  • Jul 2007 Qualified Supplier for BDT AG

  • Apr 2007 3rd OEM repair/service contract with SUN Microsystems incl. defective stock warehousing management and a BtB system implementation

  • Feb 2006 ISO 9001:2000 certification obtained

  • Jan 2006 Training/consultancy activities brought into a separate Company, InnovaStor

  • Oct 2005 Consolidated all activities in 1 building

  • Aug 2005 2nd OEM repair/service contract with Overland Storage

  • Aug 2004 1st OEM repair/service contract with StorageTek

  • Oct 1999 Started in a garage in Oct 1999 offering DLT drive repair capability
